Public Art in Qatar: Maqam I, Maqam II, Maqam III

Part of a series of short-form cinematic films that document spaces, heritage, and public art through atmosphere and visual storytelling.
Maqam I, Maqam II, Maqam III by Lebanese artist Simone Fattal presents three conical sculptures of blue granite that almost take the shape of a tent-like construction. Situated in Al Zubarah Desert, the three shapes, both natural and man-made, connect with the archetypes present in the landscape and history of Qatar.
